Therapacks are Australian-made heat and cold packs, which have been developed by healthcare professionals, to be as allergy-friendly as they can. Therapacks are easy to use, comfortable to wear and are available in a range of designs to suit most parts of the body while minimising any reduction in mobility. They work by subtly moulding to the contours of the body. Where helpful, Therapacks are fitted with secure Velcro straps.
They are made from 100% cotton and are hand-washable.
These packs can be heated in either an oven or a microwave, or chilled in a freezer.
Therapacks Knee Pack is a must in the kit of all sports trainers. The special design wraps around the knee and is held in place with Velcro fastening straps, allowing the wearer to get up and move about if required. When chilled it may relieve sporting injuries, giving pain relief and may reduce the swelling caused by bruising. As a heat pack, it may ease joint pain caused by heavy or repetitive overuse of the knee.
The Therapacks Elbow and Ankle Pack is designed to fit the ankle, elbow and upper arm. The pack wraps neatly around these areas and is held in place by Velcro fastening straps. The wearer retains mobility while enjoying the benefit of continuously applied treatment. The pack may relieve sports injuries, bring local pain relief, and ease joint pain, sprains and arthritis.
Heat packs may help ease muscular tension and cramps by increasing the blood flow to the injured area. Hot packs can be used for psychological comfort, pain relief and healing. Cold packs may help to decrease swelling and haemorrhaging by constricting the blood vessels that supply the injured area. Cold packs can be used to reduce soreness, bruising and swelling. They may ease minor burns.
